Vitafoods Europe, the world’s nutraceutical event, and leading global platform for the nutraceutical, functional food and beverage, and dietary supplement industries, has concluded its 2026 edition, delivering its most expansive and content-rich event to date.
In its most attended edition yet, Vitafoods Europe welcomed 26,767 attendees reflecting a 5% growth year-on-year and featured its largest-ever floorspace, with an additional hall introduced to accommodate increased exhibitor numbers. The event hosted more than 1,550 exhibitors, 16% up on 2025, and showcased a broad range of innovations, ingredients, and solutions. This significant expansion reflects the show’s alignment with the nutraceutical industry’s evolving needs, reinforcing its role as the platform for innovation and collaboration ahead of its 30th anniversary next year.
Vitafoods Europe 2026 Captures the Industry’s Biggest Shifts
At the heart of Vitafoods Europe 2026 was its extensive content programme, with 37.5 hours of sessions and 100 expert speakers tackling the trends redefining nutrition, from GLP-1-driven market shifts to the growth of beauty-from-within. Across multiple stages — including the Vitafoods Europe Conference and Vitafoods Insights Theatre — attendees explored the science and market forces driving new product development. Highlights included the sold-out Women’s Networking Breakfast — covering life-stage challenges to advocacy opportunities — and the Future of Nutrition Lunch & Learn, which explored how biohacking and longevity science are reshaping innovation.
The Future of Nutrition Lunch & Learn featured a keynote from Professor Tim Spector OBE, Scientific Co-Founder at ZOE and Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at King’s College London. Positioning gut health as a key lever for longevity, Spector drew on ZOE research to highlight how microbial balance influences metabolism, cognition and immune resilience, and pointed to a future where gut testing is part of routine health insight. A follow-on panel explored the “healthspan stack”, examining how biohacking is shifting towards system-based, evidence-led combinations, and what this means for the next wave of nutraceuticals.
Vitafoods Europe: A Platform for Innovation and Connection
Connecting innovation with expertise across the entire event experience, the event provided a platform for discovery across the supply chain, with exhibitors showcasing their latest developments to attendees from more than 130 countries. Reinforcing its position as the global meeting point for the nutraceutical community, the event facilitated 30% more scheduled meetings compared to last year, with over 220,000 connections made on-site. Plus, the newly introduced Community Lounge provided dedicated space for micro-communities, associations and partners to connect through intimate networking sessions, and spark conversations in a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the Startup Challenge spotlighted emerging disruptor brands to highlight the creativity that is driving the nutraceutical sector forward. The Vitafoods Europe Innovation Awards also returned to celebrate the companies and ideas pushing the boundaries of nutrition, with winners announced during an exclusive ceremony following live presentations to judges.
