The multinational fragrance house Eurofragance reinforces its commitment to promoting olfactive culture through its participation in Barcelona Olfaction Week (BOW), the biennial event organized by the Beauty Cluster, which will take place from May 18 to 24. Through talks and sensorial experiences in some of the most iconic spaces in Barcelona, the Catalan company invites both the general public and industry professionals to discover perfume as a bridge between culture, creativity and knowledge.
Throughout this edition, the fragrance house is driving several initiatives that offer a broad perspective on the world of perfume: from the olfactive traditions of the Middle East to the sensorial reinterpretation of Barcelona’s heritage, including a dialogue between perfumery and gastronomy. This participation follows Eurofragance’s broader commitment to advancing olfactive culture in 2026.
Initiatives for the Fragrance Industry
As part of Barcelona Perfume Day, Belén García, Master Perfumer at Eurofragance, will present the talk “Arabian Reverie,” a journey through the evolution and transformation of Arabian perfumery and its creative richness, focusing on its new paradigm in the wake of globalization and the rise of influencers.
During Barcelona Perfume Day, the project Aromas That Inspire: Creating Gastronomic Experiences will also take place. For this initiative, Lorena Piera, Perfumer Analyst at Eurofragance, has designed an oriental accord that inspires a tasting experience created by students from CETT Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy. The project connects perfumery and gastronomy and explores how olfactive accords can be translated into a culinary experience.
Barcelona Perfume Day will be held on May 20 at the Cotxeres Hall of Palau Robert. Registration must be completed through the BOW website and is open to the fragrance sector.
The program also includes the prestigious Mouillette d’Argent International Perfumery Competition, dedicated to celebrating the art and innovation of modern perfumery. Bettina Perisson, perfumer and Key Account Manager at Eurofragance, will serve on the jury.
Public Experiences: Barcelona Through Scent
Barcelona Olfaction Week also features experiences designed to introduce the general public to the world of perfume and discover Barcelona from a new sensorial perspective.
Essence Palau will allow visitors to rediscover the Palau de la Música Catalana through a guided tour that engages multiple senses and includes ten olfactive creations developed by the fragrance house to strengthen the link between perfume, memory and heritage. This guided tour of this jewel of Catalan modernism will take place on May 19, 22, 23, and 24. Registration is open to the public via the Palau de la Música Catalana website, with a 50% Barcelona Olfaction Week discount by applying the following code: MIRADES2526.
BCN: Fragrances of History offers a sensorial route through different points in the city, connecting with certain historical periods and evoking the fragrances that defined each era through creations developed by Eurofragance. This city route will take place on May 16, 20 and 24. Registration is open to the public through the website of CultRuta, with a 20% Barcelona Olfaction Week discount using the code: TSCAT.
Through this participation, Eurofragance reaffirms its commitment to initiatives that bring the world of perfume closer to society and promote knowledge, experience and cultural connection through memorable sensorial proposals.
