Eurofragance, the multinational fragrance house, reveals the key directions that will inspire the world of fine perfumery this winter, where color, texture and sensorial richness drive creativity. From the warmth of a winter sunset to the energy of lacquer-like reds and the comfort of toasted tones, the Winter Sunset, Statement Red and Dust Brown concepts draw from the visual and tactile aesthetics of the season to offermemorable, adaptable creations.
The company’s creative team has identified three macro-trends that began to emerge in autumn and will continue to guide perfumery throughout the winter. Each one is expressed through its own micro-trends, in which color nuances and tactile sensations take center stage.
“Winter Sunset”: sweetness that softens the cold
At the start of the coldest months, Winter Sunset captures the golden glow of dusk and the gentle, muted light of winter days. Compositions explore lactonic, milky facets and ripe fruits, wrapped in tropical notes, resting on silky woods and comforting amber accords that cocoon the skin without feeling heavy.
Aligned with the ongoing appetite for gourmand compositions, the Banana & Durian note evolves into iconic tropical profiles, bringing a creamy sweetness and ultra-ripe fruit nuances. Anchored in soft musks, it introduces spicy touches and a refined woody base.
In parallel, the Tobacco micro-trend signals a strong comeback of tobacco notes, adding sophistication to winter perfumery. Its warm, smoky sweetness blends nostalgia with a contemporary, genderless attitude, pairing beautifully with boozy facets and spices.
“Statement Red”: red as a symbol of energy and sophistication
Red becomes a bold style statement. Think high-shine lacquers, vinyl lips and carmine satin, now translated into scent with Statement Red: intense red fruits combined with radiant spices and a crystallized-saffron effect that introduces light and transparency.
Within this universe, Pitaya & Red Fruits fuses the red color spectrum with raspberries, strawberries and pomegranate, lifted by pink spices and clean woods to create a fine balance between freshness and depth.
Cherry, a current star in both beauty and fragrance, evolves into Lacquer Cherry when infused with lacquer-inspired imagery that evokes sensual, nocturnal atmospheres. The result is a cherry note with almond-like, balsamic and ambery undertones, enriched by textured vanillas and satin-like cedars.
“Dust Brown”: the color of the season
This winter, brown emerges as a new code of elegance. Rooted in earth and leather, it fuels a wave of gourmand creations built around nuts, honeyed resins and chocolate notes.
Following the success of toasted notes such as hazelnut and pistachio, a new nut steps into the spotlight: roasted chestnut, giving rise to the Chestnuts & Nuts micro-trend. Chestnuts and nutty accords are a natural fit for the autumn – winter period, conjuring up seasonal rituals, festive moments and cozy, wintery streets. Beyond nostalgia, they add richness and texture, deepening gourmand signatures and bridging indulgence and sophistication.
The influence of Middle Eastern confectionery and natural sweeteners is expressed through the pairing of brown sugar and dates, shaping the Brown Sugar & Dates micro-trend: a blend of molasses, dark caramel and succulent dried fruits that creates an opulent, polished gourmand composition. When combined with golden resins, dark vanillas and ambery woods, it leaves a comforting trail, perfect for the coldest nights.
A sensorial reflection of fashion and lifestyle
Simona Gentili, Marketing Manager Fine Fragrance at Eurofragance, explains:
“These trends mirror what we’re seeing in fashion and lifestyle, where summer extends through intense colors that contrast with the darker, earthy tones of winter. We’re talking about captivating textures that allow us to reinvent the sensorial narrative of the season, opening the door to more sophisticated creations with Middle Eastern influences.”
